Our Story
GTG.Online was founded in July '23 in Alexandria, VA, by a select group of exceptionally experienced (veteran, former government & ex-Google and Tenable) cybersecurity professionals.
GTG's Founder & CEO, John Chirhart, is a seasoned cybersecurity expert with 27 years of experience in developing capabilities and solutions focusing on detecting and mitigating automated attacks against web applications and infrastructure.
During Mr. Chirhart’s tenure with the government (served at several three-letter agencies), John was responsible for managing critical global communication systems and supporting national security initiatives. While at Google, John was successful at transforming open-source projects such as reCAPTCHA, WebRisk, and VirusTotal from a development stage and bringing them to market, achieving over $115M in annual recurring revenues over the span of only 3 years with a small team of inside sellers.
In addition to GTG's outstanding team, what sets them apart is the company's solution for irrefutable email verification technology (patent pending). GTG.Online designs its Phishing and Business Email Compromise (BEC) solutions to be scalable, ensuring they can grow and evolve alongside your business. Most importantly, we prioritize security and privacy, taking a very proactive approach to cyber security by identifying and addressing potential threats before they can cause harm.
GTG provides a superior solution for preventing phishing attacks, particularly Business Email Compromise (BEC). By verifying email traffic before deploying costly technologies like AI and Machine Learning, we answer the critical question, "Who sent that email?" This lightweight approach enhances performance and accuracy in ways current solutions cannot match, making it a key differentiator in the market. GTG offers an easy plug and play approach to complement and target evolving internal cyber-attacks.
It has been widely reported that most IT professionals within corporations lack real-world experience, talent, skillset or resources to be able to effectively respond to modern and evolving cybersecurity attacks. GTG's professionals were leading experts in the cybersecurity field at the highest level of government organizations responsible for detecting and solving real-time threats from malicious threat actors from foreign nation states.
Email security continues to remain a significant issue for all Enterprises regardless of size. Phishing attacks are the most prevalent and common threat to email security. Despite the advances in cloud-based email filtering technologies, new research discovered that a staggering 80% of organizations find themselves vulnerable, their defenses easily sidestepped by cyber adversaries. GTG's solutions work alongside cybersecurity platforms like Proofpoint, Mimecast, and Abnormal. This integration fills critical gaps in internal email security that leading products often miss. Our methodology is completely passive, ensuring it does not disrupt business operations.
Fundraising Update
GTG was funded by its Founder & CEO and is currently raising capital (Pre-Seed) from outside investors. This incremental capital will be used to develop two additional products including GTG Verify (B2B and B2C solution) and GTG Enterprise (B2B), creating an ample runway to continue to generate revenues and expand market penetration.
